A navy button-shaped fascinator on a medium sateen base, topped with a cluster of multi-coloured violets in shades of yellow and blue-violet. A stiffened netted veil falls just below the eyes for a soft-focus, vintage line, its fine hexagonal mesh sitting close over the face. Hand-made in our London atelier by Merve Bayindir Millinery, a member of the British Fashion Council, Lucie is finished to a couture standard, the violets hand-assembled petal by petal so the colour reads bright against the deep navy.

Event: Weddings, mother of the bride, garden parties, formal occasions and race meetings.

Styling: Wear it set forward or slightly off-centre so the veil sits over the brow and the violets lift to one side. Pair with navy or clean neutral tailoring for a wedding or mother-of-the-bride outfit, picking up the yellow or violet in an accessory. Sweep hair into a low chignon so the base sits securely, and keep jewellery to fine studs.
