A black straw boater hat, playful precision. The sharp boater base gives it strength and structure, while a diagonal black and white striped silk band cuts across the crown with graphic clarity. At the knot, a tiny red ladybird adds an unexpected wink, refined, a little mischievous and impossible to ignore. Hand-made in our London atelier by Merve Bayindir Millinery, a member of the British Fashion Council, Stern is finished to a couture standard, tailored but never stiff, and impossible to ignore.

Event: City summers, art fairs, gallery openings, holidays, and statement daytime occasions.

Styling: Let the hat carry the personality. Crisp white, sharp black or a bold red lip echo the ladybird detail, and clean silhouettes work best so the graphic stripe stays the point. Keep the rest pared back and monochrome, and let the wink of red do the talking.
